AWS C8i is an 8th-generation compute-optimized EC2 family powered by custom Intel Xeon 6 processors (x86_64) with a sustained 3.9 GHz all-core turbo frequency. It targets compute-intensive workloads and keeps a 2:1 memory-to-vCPU ratio while improving memory bandwidth and platform performance versus C7i. There is no announced retirement for C8i as of January 2026.
