M8a is AWS's latest-generation AMD-based general-purpose EC2 family, powered by 5th Gen AMD EPYC (Turin) processors. It delivers up to 30% higher performance and up to 19% better price-performance than M7a, with 45% higher memory bandwidth and up to 75 Gbps networking and 60 Gbps EBS bandwidth. M8a is ideal for web and application servers, microservices, gaming, financial applications, mid-size data stores, ML inferencing, simulation modeling, and caching fleets. Instances are EBS-only and built on the AWS Nitro System, with a wide and expanding regional footprint.
