AWS X8aedz is a memory-optimized EC2 family powered by 5th Gen AMD EPYC (Turin) processors with a maximum CPU frequency of 5 GHz. It targets EDA and large relational databases with a 32:1 memory-to-vCPU ratio plus local NVMe SSD and up to 75 Gbps networking. There is no announced retirement for X8aedz as of Jan 2026.
